The hentai is based on Helter Skelter ~Hakudaku no Mura~ (ヘルタースケルター~白濁の村~) eroge developed by Guilty and released on November 30, 2007.
The animated series made its debut on January 30, 2009, and was under Suzuki Mirano label. The hentai concluded on November 28, 2014 with four animated episodes.
Story
Miu and her family of four women are well-known in the media for being aspiring young celebrities. Her mother, Sayoko, is a famous fashion designer and has scored a job for the family to shoot a TV production; a rare opportunity for the family to be together and enjoy themselves. The girls travel to a small, isolated village in late August and the filming begins. Little do Miu and her family know however, the entire production is a scheme. This is the time for a local festival and they happened to unwillingly volunteer to be a key figure for this festival. One by one, the girls are subjected to the traditions of the festival, experiencing first-hand just how serious it is.

Helter Skelter: Hakudaku no Mura was a well-received hentai in Japan, and even its last two OVAs were among the best-selling of 2014. Although it was also well-received abroad, it lost popularity over time. However, in recent years, it has regained attention from the audience due to certain memes related to the main characters of this hentai.

- Although the animation studio responsible for producing the OVAs is not known, it is believed to have been produced by Imagin. This assumption is based on the fact that the founder of this studio, Sakai Akio, is also the owner of Suzuki Mirano and A1C.
- The original series originally ended on March 27, 2009, but it returned five years later, on September 30, 2014, with a new animated arc.
- The events that unfold in the 2014 OVAs differ from those in the 2009 ones. Additionally, the entire cast of voice actors from the first OVAs was replaced by a new one in the 2014 version.
